   Elsa,seorang putri dari kerajaan Arendelle,
berusia 21 tahun saat dinobatkan menjadi ratu,menggatikan ayah nya yang meninggal terkena badai dalam sebuah perjalanan bersama sang ibu.
elsa mempunyai sebuah kelebihan,dimana dia mampu menguasai salju,namun karena kelebihan yang dimilikinya pula ia nyaris mencelakakan anna sang adik, kejadian tersebut membuat ia mengurung diri dikamarnya bertahun tahun dan membuat sang raja mengambil keputusan tuk menutup semua pintu kerajaan hingga elsa mampu mengendalikan kelebihan nya.
bahkan hingga sang raja meninggal pun semua pintu kerajaan masih terkunci.
dan sang adik adalah "korban" yang tidak tau apa apa karena ingatan sang adik tlah di hapus atas kenangan apa yang pernah mereka lakukan dengan kelebihan elsa.
